Pirates of the Caribbean 4




The fourth installment of Johnny Depp's "Pirates of the Carriben" film has got its official title. During Walt Disney Co.'s D23 Expo in Anaheim, California on Friday, September 11, Walt Disney Studios Chairman Dick Cook revealed that the upcoming movie will be titled "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides". Moreover, Dick also announced the film is scheduled to hit U.S. theaters in the summer of 2011.

During the event, the leading actor of the adventure film franchise, Johnny, also made a surprise appearance by coming out as his character Jack Sparrow. Dressing in a pirate costume and riding a giant ship, the 46-year-old star came out few minutes after Kermit and Miss Piggy ended their promotion of "The Cheapest Muppet Movie Ever Made".

Though official plot for "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" has not been announced yet, various reports mentioned that the film will focus on the eccentric Captain Jack Sparrow. Meanwhile, Orlando Bloom has hinted that he will not return to the fourth film and reprise his role as Will Turner. Produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, the script is penned by Terry Rossio and Ted Elliott.
